Arrival in Banbury

The first thing a local says when you tell them that you are from Australia is..

"Why have you moved here?"

From check-out chicks, to nurses, waitresses, chefs and my next door neighbout. The idea that someone would willingly leave Australia to come and live in Banbury seems incredible to them.

I suppose that if I was just another Aussie schmo living in Earl's Court whose experience of England begins and ends with what is inside the M25 ring road, no-one would bat an eyelid.

However, we are blazing a trail 'out in the country', although to be fair, Oxfordshire has more high-tech industry than the entire Australian economy.

And it is very pretty here.
