Where is Banbury?
Banbury is located in North Oxfordshire, roughly 21 miles (34 km) north of Oxford. The A4260 links Oxford and Banbury, which was in the news a few days ago as an RAF Harrier jet crashed in the middle of it, just near Tackley. Luckily no-one was seriously injured.
Banbury is easily accessible by road and rail from London. It is just off Junction 11 of the M40. Travel time to central London is about 1.5 hours early in the morning, and about 1 hour to Heathrow. Of course, during the day and during peak times anything is possible in London traffic.

Trains from London Marylebone run 'virtually' express to Banbury (usually stopping at High Wycombe) on the way to Birmingham. These take about 65 minutes. Some trains stop more frequently and take about 90 minutes. Go to http://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/for train timetables.
