Our new house
For those who don't know, we have moved house. It is only a few hundred metres or so from our old place, so if you remember how to get there, you'll be able to find our new place.
It was a bit of a shock to the system having left sunny Melbourne to arrive in London in the middle of a cold snap. Light snow was falling in Heathrow and Staines (where we left our car for three weeks.. thanks Bruce!).. and it got quite heavy on the M40 through High Wycombe. Thankfully there was not enough to settle on the road but the adjacent fields were covered in snow. By the time we arrived at Banbury most of it had melted.
The next day was bright and sunny however, perfect weather for taking pictures of our new house.
In this house, the living room is at the front of the house. The kitchen is out the back which overlooks a useful lawn area.
We have moved the couch to the back wall of the living room, and we manage to fit the computer table under the staircase, so there is plenty of room for Lucas to crawl and play.
A steep staircase greets you as you enter the front door, you access the living room via a separate door immediately on your right. Once at the top of stairs, there is a small landing from which two bedrooms and bathroom can be accessed. Lucas' room is the front bedroom, the bathroom is split in the middle.
Note that we still have carpet in our throne room.
Our bedroom is at the rear, overlooking our rear garden with Moorfield park close by. In true English tradition, the garage is too small to actually use as a garage. Yes I could just squeeze the car in, but I couldn't open the doors so you'd have to get in via the sunroof. However, the garage does make an excellent storage facility.
